I hate hockey. I really don’t even enjoy watching it anymore.

Jen and I finally broke down and talked ourselves into getting two cats. You can see their pictures at my gallery site. So far, their names are Midas (a 3 year old male) and Ping (a 1.5 year old female). We certainly didn’t pick these names, that’s what they were named at the shelter.
Ping, the female, likes to hiss and growl a lot at the male. It’s quite fun actually, because the much larger male just looks at her and ignores it. We got them last night, so today was their first day alone. Either they learned to get along or one will be a wrecked mess when I get home.
Now I just need to go through my list of Sci-Fi character names so I can rename them…
Hockey is only just over 17 hours away. I can hardly wait. It’s been a long time since I’ve really played any type (an actual game or just screwing around) of hockey and I miss it. I hope the game lasts…
There hasn’t been much going on lately. Work has been surprisingly quiet. I hope it lasts, I really do. I’ve been playing a lot of games lately now that I have purchased Cedega. It makes life so much easier. I was really getting tired of booting into Windows just to play games.
We started playing Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 last night. I used to hate the game. I can’t even remember why after a solid night of gaming last night. I think I might like it even better then some of the others (Counter Strike, etc) that I have played recently. Maybe it’s the fact that I can drive a tank and blow the bejesus out of enemy tanks.
It does a lot to help stress levels.
We got some new Dell laptops and I checked out the static bag they came in. Aren’t choir singers allowed to use Dell laptops?
What can I say? An Eagles win. It’s been a while so I am a bit speechless. They started out looking relatively bad, but battled back to win 27-24 over the Carolina Panthers.
The win doesn’t look like much, until you check out the numbers. It’s still a bit early to start looking at Wild-Card stats, but there are now 4 teams with a 6-6 record that are tied for the NFC Wild-Card.
The player of the game had to be Lito Sheppard’s interception in the end zone with 25 seconds left in the game. It was a very close call, but after a booth review, he had both feet in bounds to make the catch. As you can see in the above screencap, even Andy Reid gave a big fist pump after the ref’s came out of the review booth. I needed a screencap, because Big Andy rarely shows emotions on the field.
I’ve had my current laptop for a almost two years. It has really held up well, but I believe that the battery is finally on its way out. I checked HP’s website and a replacement should cost about $168. Wow that makes me shiver. It was working just fine and then one day I accidentally let it run completely out and shut the laptop off. I always read that you should do this every once and a while to properly drain the battery. I guess it just got old, but $168 seems like a lot.
Maybe it’s time for a new laptop? I hope I win the lotto.
